Absolutely stunning and rare ballerina music box. Shaped like a cocktail shaker, this silver plated box was made by Girod Paris, France. Inside is a Swiss music mechanism by Reuge. The music starts when the cup is picked up, and stops when put down. Marked on the bottom: Made in France, Bte S.G.D.G, Metal Argente Girod Paris. In beautiful condition, some very minor scratching on the silver plating. Slight indentation of the rim on the underside. Music box is in good working order, sometimes it plays a false note.
